My students—both current and previous ones—are my inspiration for teaching.

What pleases me more than anything is seeing them progress in their lives in French, as well as in their understanding of my native language. For me, it is not just about teaching a two-month course–it is about helping them succeed here in France.

Let me introduce you to one of them:

Angelique, homemaker

Angelique Orgeron Gillette was born in Larose, Louisiana (USA). A homemaker, she is now living in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) but she spent one year and a half in Fontainebleau.

Learning French because :
« I attended French lessons with Catherine because I wanted to blend into French society.  I never took French in high school or college, and I wanted to learn the language while i was living in France. I wanted to be able to understand and read French when I went to public places. »

Experience with « French in Fontainebleau » :

« I had a great time with Catherine … she was very caring and patient with me.  When I started my lessons, I went once a week for two hours and then as the weeks went on, she put me in two groups. The first one was with her one-on-one, and the other with a group so I could get practice talking in French to my peers. If I were still living in France, I would still be attending. »
